Inquiry about the current status of the Agadir agreement between Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, and Morocco
Answer

The Agreement entered into force on 6/7/2006, and the Egyptian customs were notified on 6/3/2007, the actual application of the agreement has begun where import and export already done between the Member States, exempt from customs duties and other fees and taxes of a similar effect for the industrial, agricultural, and food stuff between the Member States in accordance with the provisions of the agreement.

The application of cumulative rules of origin:

This will contribute and support in the promotion of economic and trade cooperation among Member States, which allows members of the Agadir Agreement to take even the advantage of preferential access to EU markets with a local joint production.

The accumulation of origin arrangements developed under the multilateral system of accumulation of origin of the Euro-Mediterranean Region, which allows Member States of the Agadir Agreement to take the opportunity to apply the principle of accumulation of origin among them on one hand, and with the countries of the European Union on the other.
